How is your weight loss center different?
This office schedules patients by appointment only, with little or no waiting time. We don’t require that you buy any unnecessary stuff, won’t starve you and we don’t give every patient the same program. We focus on building health rather than just treating the symptoms of disease. We are a Customized Nutritional Healthcare practice where your individual health status, lifestyle and health goals are incorporated into every plan we prescribe. We educate you, encourage you, and empower you to make the right choices to optimize your health and well being. We can also work alongside your primary care physician with your permission to incorporate our customized plan into their care plan for you.
How much does it cost?
The first 30 minutes with the doctor is free. Dr. Fisher will review the programs offered and recommend the appropriate one(s) for your personal goals. After that, the costs for our nutrition programs vary starting at $269. There are no contracts and there are many options to reach the same goals. Depending on the program, your investment may include a physical exam, metabolic body composition analysis, doctor visits and nutritional counseling as needed. Nutritional supplements, medications, and additional services are billed separately and vary from patient to patient. Since we build health and don’t treat disease blood tests are ordered only if indicated and are billed separately. Lab tests done by your primary care physician can be used if the results are current. Payment to us is expected at time of service.
Do you accept health insurance?
We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance. Medicare and Medicaid may reimburse for certain programs so you can submit your own claim for reimbursement if you qualify. Some private insurance companies also may cover weight management and preventive health so you can submit claims for possible reimbursement. Upon request, we will provide you with any information needed to file your claim. For your convenience, we accept Health Savings Account cards for eligible services, Visa, MasterCard, cash and personal checks.
Do I have to buy food products from you?
No. Dr. Fisher’s plans are designed for your individual lifestyle and genetic type. The foundation of most of our programs is a scientific, evidence based questionnaire testing tool based on over 30 years of research and experience that allows us to determine how your body specifically utilizes food as fuel for energy production and cellular metabolism. By identifying your individual genetic “food fingerprint” we can provide you with a food map that directs your choices towards ideal foods and away from foods to avoid for your type. Your map can be used at home, at work, or in restaurants, so there is no weighing or measuring food or counting calories, or shakes and other “add ons”.
What happens after I am prescribed my customized program?
You will meet with the doctor and the Finding Your WeighSM healthcare team on a regular basis. We will give you a time estimate for the length of your appointments so you can plan your time accordingly. For the success of any health improvement efforts, a relationship with your physician, who provides education, encouragement and support is essential.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We request that your cancellation notice be given no later than one business day (24 hours) prior to your scheduled appointment. Late cancellations may be subject to a partial payment fee.
